Women in India

   It’s a man’s man’s man’s world. Blah!
   You still can’t, Rape Me.
Following whatever that took place in our country 3 years back or probably has been taking place already somewhere around the corner; it is evidently visible that barbarism and vernacularism is not yet a pronoun for Stone Age only. Okay, let s get this better. The wicked Delhi gang rape case shook the nation to a great extent. Result being that the  instances of assault cases that have been till now swept under the carpets of our muggle political system are being exposed largely . One thing has been made clear; women are no more regarded as humans. More of a toy that can be tossed in the hands of some savage and vicious men who are constantly in search of women to satiate their unceasing hunger.
.
Growing more melancholy every now and then
Not many would remember the infamous baby Falak case. Well that is okay as she is already been dead. Practically, all the hype created is now over. Anyway, she was a year old who was brought to hospital by a teenager who claimed to be her mother. The baby had bite marks and several scars that depicted the amount of atrocities that, that little kid had borne. Ultimately, the result of investigations revealed a startling truth of human trafficking and child abuse that forced the teenager to walk on the path of savagery. Poor thing. Oh, wait, there’s more. The Guwahati molestation case video that left the world bewildered by the uncouthness of 30 men molesting a young girl is an example of what going to nightclubs can do to you. Pity that the image that we project worldwide is justified by the people who still think that India is yet a land of snake charmers. Moreover, the culprits got an easy bail. How shameful can it be?
On a serious note, for now the definition of a woman should be molded as a dainty creature that is being diligently tattered and in the end left at the hands of fate, cribbing for her rights.

The infamous Indian Rape Saga
After the Delhi rape case, swarms of similar instances have swept the entire nation. People are angry but delusional and worried protesting might be futile. There have been numerous stages of processions by people demanding justice for Damini, for Gudia and for those uncountable souls who have underwent sheer callousness and insensitivity. Nevertheless, the situation is more or less the same. The police still bear that nonchalant attitude. Still thousands of men having a criminal record are sheltered in posh and perceptive colonies. Still these same men have been assaulting and looting the lives of hundreds. Can this seasonal staged drama of protest that breaks after when every rape is busted would do any good? Certainly not. The girl who died in Delhi after being raped by a group of dacoits has been subjected to many critics and dirty remarks. However, after what happened to a 5-year-old kid, all those admonishing that our beloved political and so-called religious leaders have lashed so irrationally seems to be futile. She was a girl of merely 5 years of age who did not intend to skin show through her skimpy attire. Neither had she had the brains to call him brother (as stated by some guru). The worst part being that it has now become a new issue in the great Indian political arena.

Real men never hit a woman.
The way police officials treat women whenever a new rape complaint is lodged is familiar to everyone. Nonetheless, does anybody have the slightest idea about how women are treated everywhere ranging from bus stops to public queues? All the men have evolved with a mindset that it is their birthright to disregard womanhood, play with their sentiments, and leave them vulnerable. It doesn’t take time to take out the masks of all those political posers who claim to be feminist. Does their male chauvinism permit them to publicly slap a young girl fighting for her very rights? Alternatively, beating and humiliating a couple who came to lodge a complaint?

The psyche needs a radical change.
Presently the nation is on the verge of a revolution. There are thousands of protests and revolts taking place in every nook and corner of the country. Although, the question is that will simple antagonism lead us any far? What can be done about those potholes with a dingy attitude and erotic desires? How would you subdue them? In the due course of time, hundreds of Ram Singh would be exposed. Would it be utterly doable to inhibit their hands? Eventually the vicious circle of brutality would never cease until the frame of mind in totality is tainted. What can you expect from the moral police who wouldn’t take a second to raid restaurants on Valentine’s Day and make a scene out of nothing but fail to commit nothing when an innocent life is pillaged to death? It is we, the people who can account ourselves to be responsible enough and attempt to take a stand with the police. Until then, even the brand new rape laws will remain victimized forever.
